GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide-1) is a copper(II) coordination complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (Gly-His-Lys) — a three-amino-acid sequence that chelates a single cupric ion through its glycine amino group, a deprotonated amide nitrogen, and the histidine imidazole ring. Originally identified in human plasma, in published in vitro and preclinical literature it has been investigated for its role in extracellular-matrix remodeling and collagen synthesis.
