TB-500 + BPC-157 is a research pairing of two synthetic peptides supplied together for combination and comparative studies. TB-500 is an N-acetylated heptapeptide (Ac-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln) corresponding to the actin-binding region — residues 17–23 — of thymosin β4, a naturally occurring 43-amino-acid protein. BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide, a 15-amino-acid chain corresponding to a partial sequence of a protein identified in gastric juice. In published preclinical literature the two peptides have each been investigated for their roles in actin regulation, angiogenesis, and connective-tissue and gastrointestinal repair, and the pairing has been used in combination-study protocols.
