Handling & reconstitution.
General laboratory guidance for storing, reconstituting, and handling lyophilised research compounds. For research use only.
Storage on arrival
Keep lyophilised vials refrigerated (2–8°C) and protected from light. For long-term storage, freeze at −20°C. Avoid repeated temperature cycling.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic or sterile water per your research protocol, adding solvent slowly down the vial wall. Do not shake; swirl gently until dissolved.
Handling
Use aseptic technique. Once reconstituted, store solutions refrigerated and use within the window appropriate to the compound and solvent.
Disposal
Dispose of vials and sharps according to your institution’s biosafety and hazardous-waste procedures.
